Use this short guide to keep one exact product clear before you call a pharmacy. It helps you prepare questions; it never decides treatment or writes a prescription.
For a controlled preparation, a prescription is required for dispensing. For cannabis preparations covered by the Polish regulation of 29 October 2024, a first prescription generally requires an in-person examination; a narrow POZ continuation exception applies. Official regulation. A four-digit code is normally used with PESEL; an official QR code in mojeIKP can be scanned without stating PESEL. Official e-prescription guidance. For travel, a prescription alone may not be enough at the border. Poland’s Chief Pharmaceutical Inspectorate asks applicants to submit at least 15 days before travel; a new template applied from 12 July 2026. Requirements depend on the itinerary and medicine, so check the current GIF requirements and the destination country’s rules.
