Have the full product details in front of you

Before you call, open the product card. Keep the name, producer, THC/CBD strength, package and exact prescription wording together. That gives the pharmacist something specific to check. A short name may point to several cards — or none.

Ask four concrete questions

1. Is this the exact product? Ask the pharmacy to repeat the producer, strength and package.
2. What is its status today? Ask whether it is available, needs ordering or preparation, or is unavailable.
3. What is today’s final price? Ask about the exact pack being discussed.
4. When can I collect it? Confirm a realistic time and anything you need to bring or do first.

Write down the pharmacy, time and answer during the call. The next call can then start with facts, not memory.

Check every detail before comparing

A different producer, strength, package or prescription wording may mean a different product. Ask the pharmacist to name the exact item they checked; a similar name can describe a different product. Discuss any treatment change with the prescriber or pharmacist.

If the answer is “not available”

Ask what can happen next: ordering, preparation or another realistic time. Then use the same product card for the next dated lead. If several pharmacies give the same answer, tell your clinician before changing anything.
